MLK Day 2022
“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” - Martin Luther King, Jr.
MLK dedicated his life to the struggle for civil rights. King spearheaded efforts to end segregation and create the Civil Rights Act of 1964. We should remember these words and the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., especially now when our ability to vote, our ability to elect a representative government, and our existence as a democracy is in peril. We must pass the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Bill not only to honor MLK, but to protect our right to vote.
As we remember Dr. King today, let’s strive to remember his legacy but also, fulfill his dream!
How You Can Help…
Besides voting, if you can’t vote there are other ways to help!
Here are a few simple ways you can help a campaign succeed.
Money - If you can and are willing to donate, money helps move the campaign forward. From helping inform voters to promoting your candidate, every dollar counts. The amount is not what is important.
Media - Social media helps to spread information. You can tell all your friends and family via various social media platforms. You can help promote events, help get the platform shared and help introduce new people to the candidate.
Manpower - Volunteer! Whether you volunteer to make calls, help stuff envelopes or block walk, you are helping to make a difference in your community.

Judge Renteria Implements Changes to Save the Court Time & Money
Judge Renteria has implemented policies that will help save the Court and the public money. In addition, Judge Renteria is testing a program to streamline case management to help with the backlog of cases.
